My Shrewsbury based Manufacturing client are looking for an Assembly Fitter to join their team on a full time and permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for real career progression. The role will initially be based in Shrewsbury however, the company will be relocating to Wolverhampton within the next 6 months.
Duties:-
- Carry out the mechanical building, modification, and repair of company products to customer exact customer specifications.
- Carry out fault diagnoses on all company products and related components.
- Dismantle all types of product and components, clean and prepare to the required standard ready for rebuilding.
- Replace all relevant parts as appropriate to ensure products are professionally repaired and put back into running order.
- Ensure that all machine settings are correct and relevant testing is completed before machines are despatched.
- Advise management on all aspects of mechanical engineering requirements as appropriate.
- Ensure required standards of housekeeping and tidiness are achieved and maintained at all times.
- To work within the time planning requirement of customer contracts and internal processes.
- Working alongside the production team.
Key Skills:-
- Essential you have an Engineering background.
- If you have worked on machinery / diesel engines this would be advantageous
- Can do attitude, the willingness to learn and progress within the company.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative.
