Assembly Operator

We are currently recruiting for a number of Assembly Operators based in Bury St Edmunds.

This client is a well-established employer within the town and has an excellent reputation for staff retention. The roles are varied, and we currently have a choice of light assembly or more heavy-duty assembly work so there is something to suit everyone! Previous experience in assembly is required.

The standard working week is Monday to Thursday only, with plenty of overtime available on Fridays and weekends. The start time is 6 am and the standard working week is 37.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
- Assemble products according to specifications and instructions
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete assembly tasks
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
- Maintain inventory of parts and materials needed for assembly

The right candidate should have:

- Previous experience in assembly or a related field preferred
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines

These roles are required for an immediate start and are temporary initially however permanent contracts will be awarded to exceptional candidates.
