Job description

VIVO, a 50:50 joint venture between Serco and EQUANS, has been awarded places on the Defence FM and Housing Maintenance framework contracts.

Location: Home based, with national travel required

Hours: Monday to Friday, full time, permanent
VIVO are seeking an experienced Asset and Lifecycle Manager to support the safe, efficient and effective delivery of the Asset Management objectives and contract requirements on a full time, permanent basis.
This role will see you take responsibility for managing and continuously improving the Asset Management System (AMS), build and deliver all Asset Management Framework (AMF) processes and associated procedures, including the Asset Management Contract Manual in line with Global AMF requirements, and develop and implement resilient processes, procedures and documents to simplify work flow and ensure these processes are recorded and followed.
You will also implement a programme of assessment and maintenance of site utilities and infrastructure which will require collation of reports provided by specialists and consultants and subsequent development of budgets for future repair/replacement activities, complete a review of the asset database for each contract/site location and assess asset criticality including taking inputs from client, customer and operational team and development of future planned maintenance budgets and labour structures, as well as provide support and guidance to the operational teams to ensure compliance with the contract requirements of statutory legislation and critical maintenance of Buildings Services Equipment.
In addition to this, the role will require you to use the CAFM system (Maximo) to utilise Asset Management Information to generate reports and inform capital spend budgets to for VIVO and its customers. This will take the form of updating the Forward Maintenance Register (FMR) and physical site surveys as well as desktop reviews. The updates will also require the ability to develop budgetary costs.
What You Need To Do The Job:
First and foremost, you should be an experienced and innovative Asset Manager from a Facilities Management/Commercial environment, with a solid understanding of the process, benefits and ways in which asset management can bring about positive change.
The ability to build effective and mutually supportive relationships with key suppliers and service partners is essential to the success of this role and as such, we ask that applicants have experience of working within customer facing environments, and are happy to be visible across our sites, which is the reason we require national travel as part of the expected duties of the position. You must hold a full UK driving licence in order to fulfil this responsibility.
It is important that you are familiar with statutory by-laws and other legislative requirements and current trends in asset management, and that you hold a Certificate or Diploma in Asset Management from the IAM (or are working towards this qualification).
