Salary: Up to £32,500 plus an additional quarterly performance bonus of £1500
Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm

About the role:
As an Asset Manager, you will be responsible for the management and resolution of delinquent loans. You will be required to liaise with customers and third parties to establish the reasons for arrears and then identify appropriate solutions based on individual customer circumstances.
We can consider individuals with experience gained ideally with a specialist mortgage lender or servicer with exposure to buy-to-let mortgage arrears and litigation experience.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage all assigned mortgage accounts
- Effectively manage posts on assigned accounts
- Fully understand customers' circumstances to identify appropriate solutions, including a variety of loan modifications as defined in the company's policies at that time
- Ensure that the appropriate business policies and procedures are followed and work within the approved mandate authority level at all times.
- Administer correspondence from borrowers and take the relevant action within agreed time scales.
- Update the account with details of each action and conversation.
- Ensure compliance with the FCA Mortgage Codes of Business, Data Protection and Money Laundering Legislation, and Fraud awareness.
- Achieve individual/team targets
- Ensure all communications are in line with Company policies, standards and procedures
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with other teams and in particular, work closely with Customer Services, Compliance, Legal & external service providers
- To treat customers fairly at all times
- Ensure that all mandatory training is completed in a timely and effective manner
- Proactively manage own personal development
- Ad hoc requirements as requested by Manager
Experience required:
- Collections and Litigation experience gained with a mortgage lender or a mortgage servicer will be essential
- Experience of working with buy-to-let mortgage products will be essential
- Able to effectively communicate with people in challenging situations.
- Able to work to targets and be used to a pressurised environment.
- Possess strong negotiation, objection handling and problem-solving skills to quickly resolve disputes.
- Ability to articulate options and solutions in a clear and concise manner
- Will have worked in a volume debt collection business in both inbound and outbound environments.
- Display and prove behaviours consistent with regulation and compliance with the principles of Treating customers fairly.
- An understanding of FCA regulations is essential.
- An understanding of relevant MCOB/FCA regulations
- Confident and regular telephone contact with external customers
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with people in challenging situations
