Assistant Accountant Role Overview
As the Assistant Accountant, you will provide assistance with the management accounts and other general accounts support. As a member of the accounts team, plays a key supporting role in supporting the Finance manager with business accounting activities.
Assistant Accountant Responsibilities:
- Monthly invoicing plus ad hoc requests.
- Maintaining and updating SAGE 200 – customer ac’s/project info etc
- Production of Sales and Margin reports for SLT and potentially further develop the reports available.
- Production of Monthly accounts pack for the Company and Divisions including variance analysis.
- Monthly Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Fixed asset register additions and review.
- Quarterly VAT returns.
- Ad hoc tasks as required to assist the Finance Manager.
- Overseeing the credit control process
Assistant Accountant Experience Required
- AAT/Early CIMA qualified or equivalent experience.
- Experience of working in an SME environment
- Working knowledge of Sage 200 or equivalent
- Understanding of Project accounting.
- Good time management.
- Good inter-personal skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Logical approach and self-motivated
