Assistant Accountant

We are looking for a Brighton based Assistant Accountant to join an exciting high growth organisation. Client Details Our client is a reputable player in their sector. Based in Brighton, they can offer parking if required but they are central so public transport is close by. They operate on a local and national scale with a focus on continuous growth and improvement. Description Assist with the preparation of financial statements. Processing payments AP and AR management Petty cash and expenses All reconciliations Processing a small monthly payroll Managing the P&L Month end processes Profile A successful Assistant Accountant should have: An educational background in Finance, Accounting or a related field. AAT / QBE / ACCA PQ / CIMA PQ Familiarity with financial accounting statements. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. Hands-on experience with accounting software packages. Advanced MS Excel skills. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills. Job Offer A competitive salary ranging from £27,000 to £30,000 per year. Benefits package inclusive of 20 days holiday plus bank holidays. Enrolment into the company's Nest Pension scheme. Parking on site A balanced work-life with a 9-5, Monday to Friday, 35-hour work week in office.
