Form of workRobert Half are pleased to partner with an international business in order to recruit their new Assistant Accountant. This role will report into the Management Accountant and work closely with them to produce the monthly management accounting pack as well as provide accurate, timely analysis on various areas of the accounts, support the month-end process of producing and reporting the P&L. After month-end close, the role supports finance and non-finance managers in understanding their performance in order to drive change.
Role Requirements
- Assist in production and distribution of monthly management accounts.
- Assist non-finance managers in understanding financial information.
- Maintaining nominal balance sheet reconciliations.
- Preparation and assistance with audits and year end processes.
- Managing nominal entries by raising journals, invoices and credit notes where required.
- Administration of company reporting systems.
- Assist the Management Accountant with rebate accrued income.
Role Requirements
- Proficient user of Microsoft packages (Excel essential)
- An enthusiastic attitude to work.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Previous accounting experience.
- Able to reliably commute to the office based in St Ives
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
