Assistant Apprenticeship Officer
Full time (35 hrs/wk), permanent
Split place of work between Horizons (Reading, Berkshire) and Home
Salary £25,000 - £27,000 pa plus benefits

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our ever-growing and busy Apprenticeship Outcomes team. As an Assistant Apprenticeship Officer, you will plan and facilitate high quality progress reviews to ensure targets are met by both UCEM and students. You will contribute to the implementation of outstanding Safeguarding practices and support administrative and compliance duties to ensure UCEM is remaining ESFA and Ofsted compliant. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience in the higher education sector, whilst contributing to the development and progression of UCEM and our students.
Your accountabilities and responsibilities include:
- Undertake high-quality progress reviews as directed by the Apprenticeship Outcomes Manager (AOM).
- Undertake administration tasks relating to onboarding, caseload allocation and apprentice professional registrations.
- Support the end point assessment process for the Apprenticeship Outcomes team.
- Support the compliance of UCEM apprenticeship programme delivery with ESFA requirements and partnership lead provider requirements.
Our main requirements:
- Level 2 Maths and English at Grade C or 4 or higher, or the willingness and ability to achieve these within six months of appointment.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Experience of supporting learners/apprentices in identifying and setting own achievement targets within the education sector.
- Strong IT skills, including in MS Office (particularly Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
