Job Information

Main duties of the role:
Ensuring the nominated buildings comply with Health and Safety legislation by undertaking a a range of statutory monitoring checks. 
Monitor and report the general condition of the property, assist with minor repairs, DIY task and routine maintenance. 
Assist with shared responsibility for the security of the opening / locking of buildings, ensuring required access is available or restricted, as appropriate.
Assist with the cleanliness of the building ensuring cleaning standards are maintained and undertake cleaning related tasks as required.
Ensure that external areas of the property are kept free from litter and debris, bins are emptied regularly and main access routes and agreed areas are kept clear of leaves, snow and ice as necessary. 
Undertake a range of general porterage tasks to ensure the efficient movement of goods, equipment, furniture and other items around the buildings ensuring the receipt and safe storage of goods.
Attend training events as and when required. 
Will be required to provide cover at other sites and any other duties appropriate to the nature, level of the post and grade.  

Requirements: A full UK Driving Licence is required, as the successful applicant will have access to a company vehicle to support their role.

Hours: 21 per week / Mon to Fri : 15:00 - 19:00 (with a nominated day of 14:00 to 19:00).
On occasion, there is a requirement to swap to an AM (07.00 start) to support annual leave within the area.
Occasional optional overtime, is also available in support of Annual Leave and for later evening lock up requirements within the area. 

Base: Hexham (incl surrounding Tyne Valley area).
