Assistant Buyer
Our very well established, successful, and constantly developing client based in Quedgeley currently have a vacancy for an Assistant Buyer to join the team.

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the role will ensure efficient purchase order delivery, planning of delivery schedules, keeping the team updated, transport scheduling for incoming stock and order processing as required.
Responsibilities
-Ensuring efficient delivery of supplier stock and materials.
-Building supplier relationships, negotiating and visiting when required.
-Keep budgets in mind and adhered to, being mindful of cost reduction.
-Managing backlog of purchase orders.
-Assist with purchase orders onto system.
-Keeping accurate and up-to-date records.
-Delivery reports.
-Attending meetings regarding production.
-Hitting important targets and deadlines.
-Other ad-hoc and administration tasks as required.

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 4:30pm + early finish Fridays 8am - 2pm
Salary: Very competitive (to be discussed upon application) + 25 days hols + bank hols & excellent benefits package!
