EA First are currently working with an Industry Leading Manufacturer who are currently looking for an experienced Assistant Buyer to bolster the team.
Our Assistant Buyer will:
- Collaborate with the Buyer to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality, cost-effective direct purchases from approved suppliers.
- Cultivate robust working relationships with suppliers, aiming to achieve savings and streamline processes within direct spend categories.
- Support the Buyer in negotiating, formalizing agreements, overseeing, and evaluating supplier performance against specified SLAs.
- Utilize technical product expertise to align customer requirements with a specific product range.
- Engage in a diverse array of procurement and supply chain projects.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with colleagues from Production, Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Quality.
Qualifications for our Assistant Buyer include:
- Previous experience in purchasing/procurement within a similar role.
- Demonstrated success in establishing and maintaining strong, productive relationships with suppliers, employing predefined SLAs for performance management.
- Inherent curiosity, coupled with a creative and innovative problem-solving approach, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, along with strong administrative, organizational, and prioritization skills.
