The Role

We are a busy buying office looking for someone to support the Product Director and the Product team. We create and design all our own products so you will be part of a fast paced and creative commercial team where every day is different.

This is a commercial role where the numbers and data count, so accuracy is a must, along with high attention to detail. We have the normal pressures of a buying office, working to seasonal deadlines and sample development timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creation of new products in our database and maintain accuracy of these during the design and quotation process.
  • Support the Product Co-ordinator on all product development, reporting and database needs.
  • Provide the Product Director with all weekly and monthly product sales reports.
  • Complete quarterly range review reporting to aid correct production status and classification.
  • Participate in promotional activities by helping the teams to identify slow moving stock and suggest markdowns or promotions.
  • Manage our spare ranging, stock, and pricing in collaboration with our Product Manager.
  • Competitor analysis and market comparison.
  • Manage any customer specials from quoting, sampling, stock ordering to delivery.
  • Manage the sourcing briefs through costings and sample development with our far east factories.
  • Assist in regularly reviewing stock, sales, and orders to ensure sales targets are met.
  • Monitor first buy orders from initial buy to delivery for timely seasonal launches.
  • Manage the process of our sample deliveries from office arrival to display in our showroom for sign off. Organise with our marketing team the product photography and briefing through our own photography studio and the safe transit to our Leeds Showroom.

Skills and Experience

  • Must possess strong organisation skills and a high attention to detail.
  • Strong excel, PowerPoint and database skills with experience in working with databases, manipulating data and building reports.
  • Experience in analysing data, interpreting results, and presenting findings in clear and concise ways using multiple formats. Ideally has experience in using data visualisation tools and techniques.
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have a basic understanding of retail or wholesale business over buying and stock.

  • An analytical and inquisitive mind set which can manage data and produce accurate and meaningful reports.
  • Is interested in homewares / interior design and a desire to extend their product knowledge to understand our competitors, customers, and category.
  • Capable of remaining calm and producing high quality work under pressure
