Assistant Buyer ( 9month maternity cover)
Our client creates beautiful spaces for people to live, learn, work, and socialise in. Their experience lies across several key markets, including student accommodation, build to rent, co-working, co-living, PRS, hotels, office, and public sector.
The Trading team require an Assistant Buyer, who will report to the Head of Procurement and work closely with the Commercial and Marketing team.
You'll be working within a highly dynamic and creative company, which embarking on an exciting period of growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Head of Procurement to manage supplier performance,
- Liaising with clients and developing product briefs
- Working with internal teams and suppliers to deliver product solutions.
- Develop collaborative relationships with key suppliers.
- Managing samples (incl. obtaining them from suppliers)
- Ensuring new products and suppliers are set up accurately and on time.
- Maintaining your department’s systems and trackers
- Assisting with range planning & product selection
- Assisting with compiling orders
- Assisting with Intake & stock Management
- Uploading Purchase orders
- Allocation of stock to stores
Essential skills/experience:
- Excel skills.
- Computer literacy & ability to learn new systems.
- High level of attention to detail.
- GSCE Maths (A-C).
- Team Orientated / Strong communication skills.
- Ability to Multi-Task and Prioritise a busy workload.
- Analytical skills - the role is data driven.
- Applicants should be highly organised and able to work in a dynamic, commercial environment.
Preferable:
- · Previous experience working in homeware interiors, retail, or admin experience.
- Driving licence
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per year dependent on experience
