A rare and exciting opportunity an aspiring Assistant Construction Buyer to receive hands on training and progression within thriving company where you will work on high quality and innovative projects with full exposure to buying within the construction industry.
On offer is the chance is the chance to oversee and assist the buying and procurement on a range of high quality residential projects where you will get hands on training and progression opportunities to senior levels within the business.
This company are leading Architectural Metalworks and Steel Structure construction specialists who have been established over 30 years. They have established a great reputation and consistently create high quality builds, which has led to strong growth and success of the business. To facilitate their growth plans they're looking for an Assistant Buyer to join the business and progress through the ranks.
In this role you will work on a range of residential projects across the UK. You work alongside the Senior Buyer who will mentor you, teaching you and guiding you. You will be liaising with suppliers, material scheduling and procurement as well as liaising with site teams to ensure the smooth delivery of material to sites. You will also oversee purchase orders and invoice queries.
You will receive extensive training, full exposure to construction projects and have a clear path for progression in a dynamic company who value their staff and believe in internal progression and promotion within the business.
The ideal candidate will have a construction, procurement or commercial related degree who is an excellent communicator, passionate about career progression and looking for a unique opportunity within a growing construction company.
The Role:

• Assistant Buyer

• Organise material deliveries to sites
• Working alongside commercial and construction teams
• Working on student accommodation refurbishment projects

The Person:

• Commercial / construction / procurement degree
• Some construction knowledge desirable
• Looking to progress their career
• Ambitious and great communicator
• Full UK Driving License
