About You
- An experienced Assistant Buyer with at least 2 years’ experience of supporting a junior team.
- You will have a good market knowledge and be able to analyse consumer buying patterns and work with the buying team to predict trends.
- As a driven individual, you will be able to lead multiple growth projects and confidently liaise with both internal and external colleagues.
- You will be a strong and confident communicator with the ability to negotiate terms and costings where necessary.
- Additionally, you will have exceptional management, leadership and organisational skills.
- Being computer literate is essential, with knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft platforms.
About the Job
- Working extensively with factories and suppliers across the Far East, India, and Europe. Handling lead times, negotiation and budgeting.
- Managing multiple projects at a time and handling the critical path.
- With a keen eye for detail, you will be able to independently oversee forecasts and critical paths to ensure the best range is implemented.
- Continuous trend analysis and a clear idea of upcoming trends in order to translate them into production.
- Liaising with vendors to agree the most commercial cost prices and lead times.
