Assistant Category Manager - Home Electrical - Fixed Term Contact to October 2024
I am currently recruiting for an Assistant Category Manager to join an established and continuously expanding retailer based within their Head Office.
You will be responsible for supporting the Category / Buying team focussing on your category products within a busy and fast paced department. As an Assistant Cat Man, you will enjoy working in a busy head office environment.
The main duties & responsibilities will include.
- Developing competitive product ranges
- Assisting with the onboarding of new suppliers & brands
- Adapting specific product offerings following customer feedback
- Conducting supplier reviews and contract negotiations
- Work cross functionally to ensure departmental relationships are maintained
- Working seamlessly across the business, driving continuous process improvement and efficiency
Key requirements for the role.
- Previous experience in category management / buying Home, Electrical, Beauty, GM or fashion
- Ability to adapt quickly and effectively within the fast-paced environment
- Highly numerate with the ability to analyse information from various sources
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels
- Strong multi-tasker who can self-manage and use initiative
