Job Description Summary
To deliver IT business and service management through the vision of excellent customer service. These tasks will be executed within clearly defined parameters based on well-established work procedures, with supervision and support to minimise risk and to provide solutions to support the business in line with group strategy & values. They will use acquired knowledge and skills to develop and manage technical solutions, balancing priorities and ensuring adherence to standards and cost constraints. To act as a point of technical expertise relating to the team function. To support the day-to-day management of the team and also support Management in delivering the overall service, ensuring departmental SLAs and KPIs are met. May perform team management tasks including, but not limited to, resource management, 1:1s, Your Best Check Ins, coaching and risk management in line with group strategy & values.

Would you like to work on multi-million-pound contracts with global Technology Service Providers as part of the Modern Workplace Commercial function? We provide central, independent supplier assurance and informed analysis to ensure service quality and to positively influence the commercial landscape of our organisation.
Core Purpose of the role
Operate as an Assistant Commercial Manager within Modern Workplace which supports the Bank with end user computing needs. This role will provide both internal and external customers with the right information at the right time to schedule and deploy assets to the Banks users optimising the right commercial model balanced against opportunities and threats within the global supply chain. There is a need for you to support multiple customers across the Bank and with external third parties. The role will deliver effective insight, analysis and recommendations to profile supply and ensure costs are maintained and operate within Budget and to contractually agreed performance.
Is an effective communicator who is able to translate complex delivery challenges into plain English such that it can be understood by business colleagues and senior leaders.
You’ll support the Commercial lead for one or more contract agreements for the end-to-end lifecycle process of the agreement(s), from development through to execution and termination. You’ll process contract change control and internal & external communications regarding the agreement 3rd party relationship. You’ll support the interface between defined client functions and external parties, ensuring input (e.g. business and compliance requirements) and participation in decision making such as review and approval of performance and mitigating actions.
Other responsibilities include supplier contract knowledge & performance to support the Bank on the obligations and expectations within Modern Workplace contracts. Supporting colleagues with agenda items at Governance committees including risks and issues, SLA’s, commercial spend, billing and Service Credits and collect and progress actions relating to Modern Workplace Services.
In addition, the role will require experience of the following
  • Experience of developing tooling and processes
  • The job will involve the ongoing development of tooling and processes to enable accurate demand and financial forecasting.
  • Working Knowledge of PowerBI
  • The job will be required to develop a front-end visualisation layer for the various Modern Workplace product set demand across the Bank - this could include software licensing and/or hardware demand/fulfilment
  • Basic knowledge of DAX and Power Queries
  • Experience of providing Management of data
  • The role will require the day-to-day management of data, including efficient handling of the volatility of changes.
  • Drive data input to ServiceNow and a PowerBI dashboard.
  • Debugging existing reporting when incident occurs
  • Experience in providing Management Information
  • Understanding of the impact of technology trends (cloud, analytics, new tooling etc) on Data Management
  • Experience of running major projects from End to End including solution or ad-hoc work requests particularly in terms of requirements capturing
  • Development and maintenance/refinement of reporting will be a core aspect of the role, as well as providing clear, regular updates to key customers.
  • Ability to track, balance and manage risks and opportunities from inception to closure.
  • Evidence in using data to drive commercial and financial conversations that inform the right decisions to be taken
  • The raising and management of Purchase Orders and Journal Transfers.
  • Evidence in managing relationships at all levels with internal and external customers, partners and suppliers to support the operating model.
  • Able to work independently and organise own work load.
  • Ability to multi-task, working on a number of deliverables at one time.
