Role Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Assistant Conference and Banqueting Manager who will be responsible for the successful coordination and execution of various events and functions for up to 250 guests. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role will involve working closely with the Conference and Events Manager to ensure seamless event operations and deliver exceptional experiences for our guests. This role is hotel based and an integral part of the hotel operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Manager with the smooth running of all conference areas within the hotel.
- Coordinate event setup, including furniture arrangements, decorations, signage, and audiovisual requirements, while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Ensure staff are preparing tea/coffee breaks and stations with appropriate food and beverages and at the correct time as stated in Event function sheet.
- Answer and solve guest requests and aim to fulfil any special requirements during the event.
- Maximising sales and profit while ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
- Assisting the manager with the coaching, training and supporting of all conference and banqueting staff to provide consistently high standards, while continually looking to improve.
- Respond to audits that are completed by the company to ensure continual improvement is achieved within the team.
- Assisting the manager with controlling the conference budget, in relation to occupancy, departmental expenses and staff rota's.
- Coordinate with the Events and Groups team who are responsible for booking events and liaising with the clients, to ensure the clients vision is brought to life within the hotel

- Experience of working in a 4 or 5 star hotel.
