About the role
As a Summer Assistant you will have general responsibility for assisting with the co-ordination of our busy summer programme, acting as a point of contact and link between staff members, internal departments, conference clients and our summer school customers. You will assist with the co-ordination of clerical and administrative work, ensuring that the processes and services for which we are responsible operate smoothly. The role is customer facing with a focus of offering the very best service to our summer customers.
About you
We are looking for a person that is passionate about delivering excellent customer service, with effective planning and organisational skills. You will be able to organise your own workload and priorities, communicate effective both orally and in writing, and be confident to work with colleagues and customers to provide information and respond to questions and queries. You will have an ability to work flexibly within a small team and also on your own initiative, with competent IT skills to effectively manage your own workload. Above all, we are looking for team player.
About our team
The Conference and Events team are a lively and dynamic team. No two days are the same, but the team adapt to the needs of internal clients, external conference guests, VIP visitors, staff, students, and summer schools. Summer is an incredibly busy period and we look forward to welcoming someone who is committed to supporting the team in delivering excellent customer service on our beautiful campus in the South Downs.
