Assistant Cost Analyst

Our client is looking for an Assistant Cost Analyst on a contract basis, located in Aberdeen.ROLEThe Assistant Cost Analyst will sit within the Project Controls team, providing support to the Budget and Cost Lead.RESPONSIBILITIESFocal point within the project team for vendor invoice enquires. Liaise with JCCA and where appropriate chase the approval or reason for non-approval and update vendors accordingly.Update and maintain the cost book.Develop reporting tools to allow clear and accurate information regarding spend to date flagging to the Budget and Cost Lead where there are any areas of concern.Update and maintain the contracts and commitments register.Work with the contracts team to administer contract approvals, IAL increases, new work orders.Progress invoice and PO approvalEnsure correct coding is applied to all cost commitments.Perform reconciliation of data where necessaryProvide support to the project teamREQUIREMENTSMust have previous experience ideally in the energy industryExperience in a similar role would be advantageous.Understanding of cost controls and budgetingGeneral understanding of the renewables industryAnalytical skillsComputer literateSelf-starter and able to use initiative
