FTE: 1.0 FTE (working 37 hours a week) Duration of Contract: Permanent Salary: AM1 £66,444 - £73,401 progress by annual increments Annual Leave: 35 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year Location: Hatfield Working closely with the Brand and Reputation team you will be accountable for driving sustainable growth in our domestic student recruitment across our whole portfolio. This is as much about advertising strategies as it is about utilising the full marketing mix to ensure that we have positioned ourselves well and our students get a great experience with us. Working closely with our Insight team you will drive our portfolio and tariff strategy in conjunction with our schools of study. As part of the Marketing and Communications leadership team you will be part of continuing to support and develop our people and continue to ensure Marketing and Communications is a great place to work. Main duties and responsibilities You will strategically lead on and deliver against the ambitious UK student recruitment and engagement targets, (notably for Postgraduate) aligned to the University’s Strategy and Key Performance Indicators and will be required to report to the Chief Executive Group, Office for Vice-Chancellor, and Board of Governors on a frequent basis. This role includes working with the insight team on product portfolio and pricing recommendations as well as developing admissions processes to deliver a great applicant experience. The postholder will also support the Head of Digital and Creative Experience in the development of the University’s external website to support and showcase the University in the best way possible to enhance recruitment, student experience, research, and business development. The postholder will need to bring creativity, flair, innovation, and a comprehensive understanding of the levers that will drive a step-change in student communications over the next three years and will be required to have an established background in strategic and demand generation marketing with a track-record in delivering successful integrated campaigns that deliver value for money and ROI. Skills and experience Working in Higher Education already with understanding of Admissions processes (in particular UCAS) will be essential for this role and you should be able to demonstrate significant understanding of this part of the role. You should also have led a large team of campaign and advertising individuals and showcase your very strong digital marketing skills and understanding. Having large scale event experience will also be advantageous to you being successful in this role. Qualifications Degree (or equivalent qualification) or proven work experience or Communications or Marketing qualification (eg CIM) Postgraduate qualification is desirable but not essential.
