The Domestic Chargehand will be responsible for assisting the Domestic Supervisor to lead and motivate the domestic team to carry out their cleaning duties and to ensure work areas are cleaned to the expected standard.: to assist the Domestic Supervisor in the following tasks, and cover during time off:
* Providing support and supervision to the domestic team
* To be able to organise a team and allocate staff to tasks accordingly
* Ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to
* Support statutory and unplanned outages with additional hours as required
* Ordering and maintaining stock levels of cleaning materials
* Ensure appropriate risk assessments are undertaken on all work
* Management of absence and holidays for the domestic team to include investigations
* Carrying out regular cleanliness inspections to ensure the highest standards are achieved
* Developing and implementing cleaning schedules and routines
* Attend meetings as required
* Establish a good working relationship with your team members, and when required provide guidance to others
* Identify and report areas and procedures that fail to meet expected standards.

* NVQ Level 1 in Cleaning walls, fixtures and fittings / BICS Level 1
* Experience of cleaning services and a good understanding of COSHH regulations
* Experience of working in a supervisory role preferred
