Due to the success of our existing Assistant Educational Psychologists securing places on the doctoral course, Nottinghamshire Educational Psychology Service (EPS) is seeking a number of new Assistant Educational Psychologists to join our team. We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic psychology graduates to support the development and delivery of our work in schools across Nottinghamshire. The successful candidates will be part of the Educational Psychology Service and will also have opportunities to shadow and be involved in the full range of educational psychology activities, in addition to their work on training and projects. Our team:

Nottinghamshire EPS uses a strength-based, collaborative and consultative service delivery model. Our work is guided by a desire to promote social inclusion and social justice for all Nottinghamshire children and young people, but especially for those in the most vulnerable situations. We also deliver training, research and project work to promote early intervention and high-quality support and CPD across a range of education and social care settings.

What we are looking for:

The successful candidates will be supervised by a senior EP and these are the essential things we are looking for in the role:

  • Supporting and delivering project work within the EPS including Nottinghamshire Virtual School, NottAlone.co.uk, Senior Mental Health Lead training and Strengths-Based Practice projects.
  • Supporting a range of work within our EP teams including information gathering, delivering school-based interventions and supporting group consultation meetings e.g. PATH.
  • Supporting the development of training packages and resources including illustrating, proof reading and editing documents to a high standard.
  • Supporting the delivery of training sessions including virtual and in person meeting technical support and co-delivery of training with a qualified EP.
  • Co-ordinating advertising and booking systems for training events and projects.
  • Maintaining online and social media content for the EPS e.g. social media posting, maintaining online resource libraries and publishing EPS resources online.
  • Data collection, collation and analysis (e.g. project summary reports)
