Thornton Manor is looking for a dynamic, sociable and well organised Assistant Events and Sales Co-ordinator. You will help organise the planning, marketing and organisation of Weddings, Business, Corporate and Social events.
You will help manage the process from the planning stage, right through to running the event, and carrying out the post event evaluation. The role is primarily hands-on reporting to our head of Events and business development
Main responsibilities:
- Liaise with clients to find out their exact event requirements.
- ‘Show rounds’ of the facilities.
- Selling the facilities to new markets and contacts.
- Deal with client queries and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Take payments if required.
- Research opportunities for new clients and events.
- Cover reception when required.
Required skills:
- A very outgoing social personality.
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service.
- Excellent level of written and spoken English.
- Computer literate, familiar with Excel, booking system, Word.
- Social Media Marketing / Ads / Facebook Business page experience (Preferred)
This position is part time and office based. Hours to be agreed but will include weekend and evening work
