Seven Social Care is looking for a Assistant Finance Business Partner to work with Sandwell Council.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Chart of Accounts
- Provide support for Oracle Financials, preferably in Fusion
- Support end-users on accounting systems (e.g., ICON and Oracle)
- Provision of financial information, advice, and guidance
- Review, transformation, development, and maintenance of financial business processes and systems control functions within the Council's financial management system(s)
- Support the production of the annual Statement of Accounts
- Assist in the annual budget setting process
- Supervise Accountancy Assistants/Trainees and deputize for Finance Business Partners as needed.
Applicant Requirements:
- 2+ years working within the same role/similar
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or any relevant field.
Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to translate complex financial information into understandable reports.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with financial reporting software.
Knowledge of local financial legislation and regulation.
