Assistant Finance Business Partner

Seven Social Care is looking for a Assistant Finance Business Partner to work with Sandwell Council. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage the Chart of Accounts
• Provide support for Oracle Financials, preferably in Fusion
• Support end-users on accounting systems (e.g., ICON and Oracle)
• Provision of financial information, advice, and guidance
• Review, transformation, development, and maintenance of financial business processes and systems control functions within the Council's financial management system(s)
• Support the production of the annual Statement of Accounts
• Assist in the annual budget setting process
• Supervise Accountancy Assistants/Trainees and deputize for Finance Business Partners as needed.

Applicant Requirements:

• 2+ years working within the same role/similar

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or any relevant field.

• Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to translate complex financial information into understandable reports.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with financial reporting software.

• Knowledge of local financial legislation and regulation.
