I look at this role as the perfect stepping stone to a fully-fledged Finance Manager position. You will solidify your knowledge, hone your approach to people-management and develop all the skills necessary to progress into a Finance Manager role in the future, here you will bridge any gaps.

To give you an idea of the exposure you’ll gain, key duties include:

• Oversight and management of external audit
• Prepare and set budgets alongside the Finance Manager
• Consolidation of group accounts
• Review and approve all work completed by the finance team inclusive of:
  

  • Management Accounts
  • VAT returns
  • Invoice approval

• Management of the finance team
• Oversight of reporting requirements in line with regulation
• Preparation/Review of quarterly accounts in statutory format
• Liaise with Board members and key stakeholders in monthly meetings
