Job Title:Assistant Finance Manager

Reporting to Finance Manager

Based at: Finchley North London

Contract: Permanent full-time 35 hours per week

Salary: £35,000 per annum (negotiable)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Finance Manager and the Programme Team in delivery of programme
• Preparation of quarterly financial claims and preparation for programme audit visits/enquiries;
• Assistance with procurement exercises and monitoring contractors’ expenditure thresholds;
• Assist in the preparation of Annual Budgets and monthly Management Accounts;
• Preparation of VAT returns;
• Creation of Financial Reports when required;
• Maintain a fixed asset register and verify the assets;
• Minute taking as required;
• Undertake annual and periodic review of expenditure to obtain savings where possible;
• Responsible for safekeeping of confidential financial information and periodic archiving of information;
• Support with preparation for the annual external audit of accounts;
• Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality and personal appearance;
• Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety, Confidentiality, Data Protection and Quality management;
• Understanding of and a commitment to Equal Opportunities;
• Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility;
