2024 is a big year for Gravity, as this is the year, we opened our second London venue, Gravity Max Westfield Stratford. This is a unique offering, with technical innovations never seen before in the Indoor karting arena. And for this we are now looking to build a winning management team and to head this up we are now inviting applications for the role of Assistant General Manager.

Stratford attracts all ages, it has activities such as a merging dual track indoor karting circuit, Arcade, Immersive Gamebox, Karaoke, Shuffleboards, Augmented Darts and more. It is also has a strong corporate events business, with revenue being generated from a Mez floor which can be used solely for events. We are aiming to create a stir in Stratford and across East London – can you afford to not be a part of this?

What you’ll be doing…

You will be second in command, supporting the GM in achieving all metrics to make the site a success, however your specialist subject will be wet sales, and you will come from a high-volume bar’s environment. This will be the business area you make your own. The site will have a strong corporate events business, with a mezzanine which can be sectioned off purely for events. We have a themed bar which will be a real driver to the area, and you will be making this the place to be!

Your main Responsibilities:

·         You will be supporting the GM in the day to running of the site, with an emphasis on the bar operations.

·         You will support the team in delivering strong KPI results including wage ratios and profitability.

·         You will be a champion in increasing revenue and profitability for the site, including helping with the development of corporate sales.

·         Support the GM in effective people management, including recruitment, talent development, training, and performance management.

·         Be a champion of employee and guest satisfaction, we want someone who is not scared to go the extra mile.

·         Finally on top of this we want someone FUN!!! This is a fun environment, and we need someone who will live and breathe this, who will foster a great attitude amongst the team which will give our customers the best experience possible.

About you

You will have previous experience of large Leisure Venue site operations management. You will have been responsible for large staff numbers and ideally you will have experience of high-volume bars and large leisure venues. There are a lot of moving parts within our Max venues and only people with strong experience will be considered.
