Progression House School are now recruiting for an Assistant Head Teacher! We are looking for an experienced or aspiring Assistant Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team with a focus on Teaching, Learning and the Curriculum. We provide a sector-leading therapeutic provision and outstanding curriculum across two sites. Due to the promotion of the current post holder, we have an exciting opportunity to join the school leadership team.
As a member of our team, you will be instrumental in laying the foundation of outstanding standards of education and creating a stimulating and purposeful environment where our pupils can make excellent progress.
In this role, the successful candidate will ensure that young people aged 16 and above have every opportunity to enjoy school, make outstanding progress and leave school well prepared for their adult lives by:
- Supporting teachers and other classroom staff to deliver outstanding teaching and learning.
- Further developing the Post 16 curriculum and associated systems for assessment, recording and reporting and monitoring its implementation.
- Further developing opportunities for community experience, work experience and work-related learning; and fostering working relationships with companies to develop a supported internship programme.
- Further developing the onsite Post 16 accredited courses and qualifications with consideration of ways learners might acquire UCAS points, where relevant.
- Working with local authorities and post school placements to improve systems for transitions from school.
