IN2Consult are working with a national transport company, based in Marylebone who are on the lookout for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is new into finance to join a company with unmatched progression & learning opportunities. This is role has very varied responsibilities & will give you the chance to learn many new skills. Please see below the responsibilities & beneficial skills -

Responsibilities -

• You will be responsible for putting together the monthly management accounts including variance analysis against budget and forecast.

• Key month-end tasks are revenue recognition, OPEX accrual/prepayments, fixed assets, balance sheet recs, group month-end reports.

• Managing payroll accounting and reconciliations.

• Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets.

• National statistics returns.

• Assisting manager for the preparation of annual statutory accounts & tax packs.

• Responsible for key weekly and monthly head office reporting.

• Responsible for the reconciliation of the Balance Sheet and having explanations for any queries raised in monthly review meetings.

• Preparation and support in the audit of financial statements (Internal and external)Covering other accountants in his/her absence.

• Other ad-hoc duties.

Beneficial Skills -

• Excellent ability to communicate.
• over a year of working experience in accounting.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Knowledge of debits & credits.
