SalaryMorgan McKinley London are proud to be working with a recognised, established brand based in Westminster to recruit a progressive Assistant Management Accountant on a permanent basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Responsible for producing Management Accounts to the monthly timetable and controlling the reporting timetable
* Assisting with Budgeting and Forecasting. Creating templates for budget holders, answer queries, ensure templates completed to the acceptable standard and query any variances.
* Inform budget holders what budget will be submitted and what is approved
* Provide analysis of trends in the budgets
* Calculate sales team commissions to current years rates to then reconcile to nominal ledger and traceable
* Respond to queries from customers in a specialist or advisory capacity
* Calculate author royalties annually
* Balance sheet reconciliation for key cost areas, including intercompany, accruals, prepayments, work-in progress and stock
The Person:
* Progressive, Part Qualified Accountant
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* A sound knowledge and understanding of accounting principles
* A confident user of Excel
* Experience of extracting, formatting, and manipulation of high volumes of financial data.
* Well organised with excellent time management to ensure deadlines are met
* Some experience of management accounting desirable
