Keoghs, the Legal Solutions Division of the Davies Group, are looking to hire an Assistant Management Accountant who will report to the financial reporting manager.
This role is at the heart of the management accounts function and is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to get a greater understanding of the management accounts function. This role is the perfect opportunity for an ambitious individual to work alongside a friendly and supportive team. Study support will be considered after passing any probation periods.
Key Accountabilities
- Preparation of month end accounts, including overhead and salary reconciliations to budget, including prepayments and accruals.
- To post monthly journals, accruals, prepayments
- Preparation of monthly overhead, salary and KPI reports for distribution to department heads.
- Monthly cost centre meeting with department heads, to review variances to budget
- Posting, reviewing and analysing payroll postings
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with annual forecasting
- Being a point of contact for the annual audit ensuring required information is provided and explained to the auditors.
- Posting and Analysing group recharges
- Cash forecasting model - bi-weekly updating of the cash actuals into the monthly cash forecast for review by the Management Accountant.
- PAYE Settlement agreement workings and submission
- Ad hoc business reporting
Working Hours
35 hours per week Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. Will be required to be available to attend the Bolton Office
Essential Skills and Attributes
- IT literate, with strong Excel skills
- To take an active role in the finance department and display excellent team working skills
- Good communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior non-financial colleagues
- Good analytical skills
