I am recruiting for enthusiastic and driven assistant site managers to join a leading construction company in the vibrant Bristol region working on commercial new builds and refurbs ranging from 2 million to 40 million. Our client takes great pride in their commitment to safety, sustainability and innovation ensuring the smooth running of all day to day operations on a full time permanent basis.
Job overview: As an assistant site manager it will be your responsibility to oversee the daily operations of the construction site, ensuring you liaise with site managers, subcontractors and all other stakeholders. Ensuring that projects are completed within budget, on time and always to the highest standards of all relevant health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the site manager on all activities including but not limited to, budgeting, quality control and site safety.
- Implement and support project plans and schedules with project managers and all other relevant stakeholders.
- Provide accurate and well kept records of site activities.
- Ensure any work carried out on site is in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Bringing a motivational attitude to keep team morale high, whilst also following all instruction from site managers, project managers or any other decision makers.
Qualifications and Experience
- A construction related degree or equivalent - not essential
- SMSTS
- First Aid
- CSCS
- At least 2 years in an assistant site manager role with extensive site experience
- In depth knowledge of current and relevant health and safety
- An ability to communicate with the team and site managers to build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders on all levels
