About the role:
We are seeking to recruit an Assistant Manager who is able to encourage a workplace culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support. As an Assistant Manager within Gloucestershire County Council Day care services you will report to the Day Centre Manager and hold day-to-day responsibility for ensuring that services offered are caring, safe, effective, well-led and responsive. You will achieve this through engaging with those who access our services and through line management of the staff team. As an Assistant Manager you will also support the manager with quality assurance and auditing work, alongside participating in appropriate project work.
The Oakley Day Centre is purpose built day service for adults with learning disabilities. It is run as a needs led service, with activities being planned using information gathered through Person Centred Plans. Examples of current activities are swimming, art, relaxation. In this role, you will be able to demonstrate experience of working with adults with learning disabilities.
The Woodlands is an independent service situated in the grounds of Oakley Adults Day Services Centre in Cheltenham. It is a purpose built day service for adults with learning disabilities including Autism, complex needs and behaviours that can challenge, individuals who may not integrate as well in your traditional social environments. There are many aims to this service particularly maximising service user choice, independence, and inclusion. In this role, you will be able to demonstrate experience of working with adults with learning disabilities, complex needs, and challenging behaviours.
