The role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Operations Manager to join the University’s Site Services team. The successful candidate will act as the day-to-day lead on operational delivery of the Site Services team, comprising cleaners and Estates Assistants. What will you be doing? You will assist the Cleaning Operations Manager and Estates Support Manager in the delivery of day-to-day operations to ensure a proactive and customer-focused service across the University, assist in managing and arranging additional services, review and write safety documentation and ensure that specified service levels are achieved by monitoring and auditing standards. A key function of this post will be to work closely with the operational staff using judgment and initiative to implement solutions to achieve the required result. You should apply if You are enthusiastic, a good communicator, calm under pressure, enjoy working as part of a team, and are a good problem solver. The ideal candidate would have a relevant work experience in facilities management, experience in managing operational staff, and a flexible and adaptable collaborative approach to service delivery and problem resolution.
