Assistant Operations Manager – EfW Power Station

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Operations Manager to join a Power Station in Glasgow. Our client is a leading business within the Energy and Waste management industry, with a long-term goal of establishing sustainability and environmental efficiency, looking for an Assistant Operations Manager to join their team.

You will be responsible for assisting with the leadership of an operations team, ensuring the plant achieves its production targets in a safe and efficient manner.

As the Assistant Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting with the management of the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring maximum efficiency
• Ensuring full compliance of Health, Safety and Environmental management systems  
• Working closely with the Plant Manager, Operations Manager and Engineering manager regarding maintenance, outages and plant improvements
• Preparing an annual budget for senior management
• Managing and developing all employees and recognising training opportunities
• Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

• Proven supervisory or management experience in an operational role within Power Generation: EfW/CHP/CCGT/Biomass/Coal etc
• Time-served/HND or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline
• Strong leadership skills
• A full UK driving licence is essential for this role
