Role responsibilities

Manage the operational delivery and development of customer service focused Payroll and Pensions activities, systems and increasing customer service to provide quality payroll support to Transport for Wales (TfW) employees.

· Manage the company payroll activity for TfW Non- Rail by working with the outsourced payroll provider, by collating timesheets data into Excel, using Excel to manipulate this data for the outsourced provider and checking their outputs to ensure accuracy of payments.

· Manage the team to administer TfW Rail in-house payroll processes by implementing key performance objectives and targets to monitor accurate payments to TfW colleagues.

· Support the on-going development and maintenance of the payroll system in conjunction, working with the People Systems Manager, IT and Suppliers to ensure TfW has a reliable system which can administer the high volume and complex operational payroll activities.

· Lead the administration of rewards and benefits, by managing payments, reconciling deductions, and coordinating P11D returns for HMRC, to ensure accuracy of payments and recovery from any leavers.

Who we’re looking for

· Demonstrable experience of payroll management in a complex environment, including dealing with variable payroll elements, timesheets, and deductions such as varying pension schemes and trade union deductions

· Good competence of using Excel, especially look-up type formulae (LOOKUP/SUMIF) to collate timesheet data into payroll data to share with the outsourced provider.

· Experience of managing and developing a team.

· Ability to work flexible working hours, including ad-hoc weekends in order to meet payroll deadlines.

Welsh Language Skills

The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.

Cyfrifoldebau’r swydd

Rheoli’r gwaith o gyflawni a datblygu gweithgareddau a systemau cyflogres a Phensiynau sy’n canolbwyntio ar wasanaeth i gwsmeriaid a chynyddu’r gwasanaeth i gwsmeriaid i ddarparu cymorth cyflogres o safon i weithwyr Trafnidiaeth Cymru (TrC).

· Rheoli gweithgarwch cyflogres y cwmni ar gyfer gwasanaethau TrC nad ydynt yn ymwneud â'r Rheilffyrdd drwy weithio gyda’r darparwr cyflogres allanol, drwy gasglu data amserlenni i Excel, defnyddio Excel i drin y data hwn ar gyfer y darparwr allanol a gwirio eu hallbynnau i sicrhau bod y taliadau’n gywir.

· Rheoli’r tîm i weinyddu prosesau mewnol cyflogres Rheilffyrdd TrC drwy weithredu amcanion perfformiad allweddol a thargedau i fonitro taliadau cywir i gydweithwyr TrC.

· Cefnogi’r gwaith parhaus o ddatblygu a chynnal a chadw system y Gyflogres ar y cyd, gan weithio gyda’r Rheolwr Systemau Pobl, TG a Chyflenwyr i sicrhau bod gan TrC system ddibynadwy sy’n gallu gweinyddu’r nifer fawr o weithgareddau gweithredol cymhleth y Gyflogres.

· Arwain y gwaith o weinyddu gwobrau a buddion, drwy reoli taliadau, cysoni didyniadau, a chydlynu ffurflenni P11D ar gyfer CThEF, er mwyn sicrhau bod taliadau’n gywir a bod taliadau unrhyw staff sy’n gadael yn cael eu hadennill.
