Description
- Oversee daily payroll department operations
- Manage and guarantee weekly disbursement of multi-state payroll
- Supervise payroll team
- Ensure compliance with current government regulations
- Establish and maintain employee records
- Handle payroll workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
- Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits
Support the planning, prioritising, and allocation of all relevant payroll work within your own and client's team.
- Conduct payroll processing during peak times and delegate client work during periods of normal demand.
- Review all payroll processing work of the team.
- Supervise Seniors, Semi-Seniors and Assistants who are involved in processing of payroll.
- Develop and build relationships internally for cross referral opportunities and to become a valued team member across the firm.
Profile
A successful Assistant Payroll Manager should have:
- CIPP Qualified / Studier - Preferred
- knowledge of payroll systems and procedures
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Proficiency in MS Office and payroll software
