About the role:

We are seeking to appoint an Assistant PrincipalPastoral Care to join our talented and committed senior leadership team.  You will be responsible for an area of Pastoral Care.  This could be a key stage or safeguarding across the academy.  You will work closely with the Vice Principal to promote the academy’s culture and ethos.

You will:

  • have considerable pastoral experience, either as a head of year, supporting a year group through two key stages or as a DSL or Assistant Principal.
  • be motivated and resilient with excellent interpersonal, planning and organisational skills.
  • have experience of having led and managed a team of people.
  • have worked successfully in at least one school in an urban, multi-cultural setting, teaching students from backgrounds of socio-economic disadvantage.
  • have experience of having led, or significantly contributed to, the success of a whole school initiative.

Ark Putney Academy opened in September 2012 as part of the Ark network in the London Borough of Wandsworth.  We’re a mixed school with 870 students, ranging from year 7 through to sixth form.  We adopt a holistic view to educating young people.
