Job description

Rossington All Saints Academy are looking to appoint an Assistant Principal to join our academy in April 2024 on a full time, permanent basis.
Are you looking for a role that will enable you to influence and give direction to the children in your classes? Do you want to work for a Trust that is transforming educational outcomes for students in some of the most deprived areas in the North of England? If so, this could be the role for you.
Your new role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the dedication, vision, and drive to lead and inspire. As an Assistant Principal, you will be part of the Senior Leadership Team of the academy, working within the ‘Deeps’ as assigned by the principal. You will proactively support the Principal / Vice Principal / AAB members to ensure that the leadership and management of the academy runs at the most effective level possible.
Your new school
The Academy is looking to build on the success of recent years, and you will be joining an academy where all students are valued, regardless of their background or ability. We treat our young people with respect and give them all the opportunity to achieve their potential. Our goal is for all our students to leave us as happy, well-qualified, confident young adults who go on to excel in the local sixth-forms, colleges, universities, and the wider world.
We are within easy reach of the motorway network with the Academy being situated minutes from the M18 and A1. Our amazing building offers exceptional facilities, we have superb sports facilities, modern science labs and excellent technology spaces.
Why join us?
This role is a wonderful opportunity for any candidate with senior leadership experience, who wishes to take their career to the next level and who has aspirations of headship. You will be joining an Academy that places learning at the heart of everything it does and with high quality CPD being available to all staff. We are part of the Doncaster Opportunity Area that is prioritising improvements to education and numeracy and literacy outcomes, alongside a drive to recruit and retain high-quality, motivated staff to the area. You will have unique opportunities to engage in additional professional and leadership development through this programme, as well as access to fully funded national professional qualifications.
We continually reflect on our practice and that of the school as a whole and look for ways in which we can improve the experience of our learners. You must be able to demonstrate the same level of passion and commitment. As a Senior Leader you will be a highly visible part of our school community and must therefore model the highest levels of professionalism, whilst being able to develop strong working relationships with staff and students.
