The primary purpose of this post is to contribute to teaching, research and administrative activities in the School. The successful applicant will have an established reputation in teaching and research in the field of Practice of Pharmacy and will be expected to contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in this field. The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences currently offers undergraduate pharmacy education, postgraduate degrees by research and several taught postgraduate courses. This position supports the 5-year Integrated Pharmacy Programme, specifically in the activities of APPEL (Affiliation for Pharmacy Practice Experiential Learning). APPEL is a joint initiative of the three Schools of Pharmacy (Trinity College Dublin, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and University College Cork (UCC)) to coordinate workplace-based learning and assessment. The position would suit an individual who has an interest in engaging with the profession, participating in the development and management of practice placements as part of the Integrated Pharmacy Programme, as well as contributing to teaching and undertaking Practice of Pharmacy and/or pedagogic research. Post Title: Assistant Professor in Practice of Pharmacy Post status: Specific Purpose Contract – Mat Leave Cover Hours of Post: Hours of work for academic staff are those as prescribed under Public Service Agreements.
