Assistant Project Engineer

We are looking for an Assistant Project Engineer to work for our long-standing Client in Loughborough. They are a family-run business who have been successful in their field for over 25 years. As an Assistant Project Engineer, you will work alongside the Project Engineer. Pay:
. GBP23,000 to GBP26,000 depending on experience and knowledge
Hours:
. 08:30 to 17:30 - Monday to Thursday
. 08:30 to 15:00 - Friday (60 minute lunch break)
Responsibilities
. Place orders using the Sage ordering system
. Confirm delivery dates to customers
. Produce General Arrangement drawings for switchboards and feeder pillar
. Produce electrical wiring diagrams (training will be provided)
. Send General Arrangement drawings to customers as and when required
. Assist with our online Operation and Maintenance manual information system for customers (e.g., placing drawings in the information system)
. Help with the smooth running of contracts
. Help with testing and setting up of panels
. Reports to the Project Engineer and works with the drawing office team
Job Requirements
. Must be able to use AutoCAD / SEE Electrical & PDF Editor software
. Have experience with a range of Low Voltage switchgear (such as moulded case circuit breakers, air circuit breakers and metering)
. Willing to learn the product and equipment used within it
. Willing to travel within the UK (under the guidance of an experienced engineer to start with) to discuss with customers works required/possible solutions
. Learn to carry out modifications/servicing of equipment
. Have a basic understanding of AutoCAD and be willing to learn the industry
. Must be able to use a computer
. Be able to work as part of a small team
. Be proactive with customers and have good communication with customers
. Be able to work independently and to communicate with customers
. Have good communication skills
. Have good administrative skills
. Willing to work overtime both during the week and Saturday mornings if required
