Full Job Description
Assistant Project Engineer
Prestigious Low Voltage Switchgear Manufacturers and Engineers based in Loughborough are looking for an Assistant Project Engineer to join them on a permanent basis.
·Place orders using suppliers’ order input system and our own Sage ordering system.
·Confirm delivery dates to customers.
·Produce General Arrangement drawings for our range of switchboards & feeder pillar by modifying of parts/layout of existing diagrams under the instruction of the Project Engineer and/or the Drawing Office Manager, using AutoCAD/SEE Electrical & PDF Editor software.
·Produce electrical wiring diagrams for switchgear to be manufactured using SEE Electrical software (training shall be provided). These wiring diagrams in the early stages are drawn by hand by the engineering team with the Assistant Project Engineer transferring that information into wiring diagrams.
·Send General Arrangement drawings to customers as and when required.
·Assist with our online Operation and Maintenance manual information system for customers (e.g., placing drawings in the information system).
·Help with the smooth running of contracts, contact customers when and needed for information/to give information.
·Help with testing and setting up panels.
·Reports to the Project Engineer and work with the drawing office team.
Job requirements
·Experience of a range of Low Voltage Switchgears
·Experience of 415VAC systems, 630-6300A ratings, metering & devices.
·Willing to learn about the product and equipment.
·Willing to travel within the UK to clients premises.
·Have a basic understanding of AutoCAD and be willing to learn our industry standard SEE Electrical wiring diagram package.
·Computer literate.
·Be able to work as part of a small team.
·Be proactive with customers.
·Excellent communication skills
·Be able to work independently and to communicate with customers
·Have good administrative skills.
·Willing to work overtime both during the week and Saturday mornings if required.
·The right to work in the UK.
