Job Summary:
We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
Job Summary / Key Responsibilities:
· Assisting with the preparation of valuations with clients
· Assisting with the preparation of accurate take offs from drawings
· Assisting with the identification and pricing of contract variations
· Assisting with the preparation of subcontractor payment certificates
· Assist in the control of supply chain ensuring full visibility of liabilities
· Assist with the issue of subcontract enquiries, compare quotes, undertake negotiations and place comprehensive orders
· Site visits to assess progress against plan
· General administration duties within the Quantity Surveying Department
· Setting up and inputting data to standard spreadsheets
· Monthly valuations
· Surveying on one project from start to finish (with supervision)
· Liaising with the main Contractor’s QS to discuss variations, etc
Knowledge and skills:
· Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a similar financial discipline (desirable)
