Job Description:
Due to recent contract acquisition in our Retrofit and Adaptation divisions, we are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our QS team. This role is ideal for individuals who are currently enrolled, looking to start, or have recently completed a Quantity Surveying degree. The assistant will support daily tasks, contributing to our team's success in managing project costs and procurement processes.
We are open to full time or part time applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the management and Quantity Surveying team in pre-construction and project execution stages.
- Perform site visits for accurate measurement and valuations, ensuring adherence to safety and project specifications.
- Engage in the procurement process of subcontractors, including coordination, tender document analysis, and subcontractor database management.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of tender documents, ensuring compliance and meeting submission deadlines.
- Participate in the creation of Budgets, Orders of Quantities (BOQs), and cost analyses to support project financial management.
- Contribute to the preparation and submission of valuations, final accounts, and monthly reports (WIP and CVR).
- Manage day-to-day administrative tasks and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Engage with suppliers for quotation requests and purchase order management.
Requirements:
- GCSE Maths & English (required).
- Construction-based BTEC or NVQ (preferred).
- HND/HNC in a relevant construction discipline (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant IT tools (required).
- Valid driving license (preferred).

Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
