Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join our team for a client in Dorset. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in managing costs, contracts, and financial aspects of the project.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, and other project expenses.
• Administer contracts, including variations, claims, and payments.
• Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost efficiency.
• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with the project.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Relevant degree or professional accreditation
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to numbers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be available to start at the end of January.
