The role of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Structural Decking will involve:

• Assistant Quantity Surveyor position dealing with a manufactured range of steel roofing decking, cladding and deck flooring systems
• Liaise with Commercial Team, Contracts Team, Main Contractors and Sub-contractors
• Negotiate prices with suppliers
• Develop commercial and contractual aspects of relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
• Support with compiling and issuing invitations to tender, analyse subcontractor quotations and make recommendations for placement of orders
• Assist with month end applications, invoicing & valuations within agreed timescales
• Identify variations occurrences including cost application approval
• Working on projects ranging in value from £1k to £1m

 The ideal applicant will be an Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Roofing with:

• Must have Quantity Surveying experience within the UK construction market sector   
• Ideally will have experience working with decking, steel decking, roof decking, floor decking, concrete etc, however any construction market sectors would be considered
• Must have excellent communication skills across all levels
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Commercially astute, professional, resilient
• Hard working, positive, driven and dynamic personality
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• IT literate (Microsoft Office)
