Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Activus Recruitment are currently seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to complement our clients commercial team based in Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire.

The candidate will be ambitious and driven preferably with knowledge of civil construction works.

The role would suit someone with some previous experience or a graduate looking to start an exciting career within a well established Civils and Construction company. Training will be provided.

The Role:

• Preparation of Interim Valuations.
• Final Account negotiations and settlement.
• Cost Valuation Reporting.
• Identify and pricing variations.
• Carry out site visits on a regular basis.
• Preparation of material requisitions.
• Liaise with clients and attend client meetings.
• Analysis of project costs.
• Managing subcontractor appointment and valuations.

Personal Requirements:

• Excellent eye for detail and a comprehensive approach.
• Experienced in reading and accurately interpreting drawings and technical specifications advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Highly motivated and organised individual.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Understanding of commercial issues advantageous.
• Competent in the use of computer packages.
