Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor - New build
Salary:40k - 50k

Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation: Analyze project drawings and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for stone masonry projects, considering materials, labor, and other relevant factors.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled and remain within the approved budget parameters.
- Tendering: Prepare and evaluate tender documents, liaise with subcontractors and suppliers, and negotiate contracts to secure competitive pricing.
- Contract Administration: Oversee the financial aspects of contracts, including payment applications, variations, and final accounts. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to costs and propose mitigation strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Quantity Take-Offs: Conduct detailed quantity take-offs for stone masonry materials and labor, providing accurate data for project planning and procurement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide cost-related advice and contribute to the overall success of projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in stone masonry or related construction fields.
- Strong knowledge of construction costs, materials, and techniques.
- Proficient in relevant software such as Excel, cost estimating tools, and project management software.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
- Membership or eligibility for membership with a relevant professional association is desirable.
