Are you an Assistant Quantity Surveyor seeking a role that will offer real career growth?
We are delighted to be working with this family owned house builder with over 40 years’ experience delivering quality homes across Scotland. With a strong pipeline of future developments, this business is looking to add value to their commercial department with the addition of an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.
Working closely with the Quantity Surveyors, duties of the role include:
- Process and produce transparent weekly and monthly cost value reconciliation process to ensure that accurate and timely information.
- Maintain relationships with internal and external teams for transfer of information within parameters to ensure that relationships are maintained to meet the needs of the business.
- Assist the Quantity Surveyor in the development of commercial tenders, offers and contracts and formal engagement with other companies.
- Assist with procuring materials and take-offs.
- Ensure contract data and records are appropriately maintained and kept up to date.
- Capture and report labour payments; assist in drafting and awarding sub-contracts and assessing tenders.
- Sub-Contractor Procurement, Payments and Reconciliation, plus issuing the relevant notifications / payless notices.
We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate the following:
- Relevant quantity surveying qualification.
- Complimentary relevant industry work experience (preferably in the house building or groundworks sectors).
- Good analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in relevant computer programmes (Microsoft Word, Excel etc.)
